 Grading Writing Assignments for Non-writing Instructors

Do you give written assignments to your students and then wonder how you can effectively assess them and provide students feedback on their writing?  In this workshop, you will be introduced to tools you can use to evaluate written assignments.  You'll learn about using rubrics, assignment sheets, and peer reviews.  You'll also learn about using Turnitin.com with student assignments and about the support available to students through online tutoring services and the S.S.O.C.   
 Accomodation Strategies for Students with Psychiatric Disabilities

The number of students with psychiatric disabilities on our campus has been increasing over the past few years. Learn about some of the most common psychiatric conditions we frequently see at OSU-OKC and how to reasonably accommodate these students in both on-campus and online classes. We will also discuss some of the potentially untapped strengths that these disabilities can harbor and how to turn them into an academic asset!
 Promoting Accessibility and Successful Outcomes for All Students
Emily Cheng. OSU-OKC Disability Services Coordinator and Stephen Collins, Assistant Professor of Political Science at OSU-OKC present the principles of universal design and discuss how they can increase the accessibillty of courses for all students.

This video is a recording of the Title III sponsored workshop in which Dr. Ed. Vezey discusses how he uses video with his online biology courses.   The Tegrity viewer is required to play the video.  If it is not already installed, you will be prompted to install it.
